Guidelines for the LDCAA Best Class Ever Trophy
1. The Leadership Dickson County Best Class Ever Trophy (LDCBCET) is and shall at all
times remain the property of the Leadership Dickson County Alumni Association
(LDCAA).
2. The LDCBCET shall not be disassembled or in any way intentionally damaged or altered.
3. The LDCBCET shall not be concealed from public display or access.
4. The LDCBCET shall not be removed from or transported outside the boundaries of
Dickson County without the advance written consent of the President of the Leadership
Dickson County Alumni Association.
5. The LDCBCET shall only be allowed to be in the possession of a member in good standing
of the Leadership Dickson County Alumni Association.
6. Any member in good standing of the LDCAA may take possession of the LDCBCET by:
Being designated as the representative of the winning class in any competition presented by the LDCAA. The member currently in possession of the LDCBCET shall surrender it to the winning class representative;
Surreptitiously removing the trophy from the possession of another LDCAA member without violating any law or common courtesy; or
Upon discovery of the location of the LDCBCET, stating to the LDCAA member holding possession: “One Trophy to Rule Them All: One Trophy to Find Them; One Trophy to Bring Them All; and in Leadership Bind Them.” The LDCAA member in possession of the LDCBCET must surrender it to the member immediately.
7. Upon gaining possession of the LDCBCET, the LDCAA member shall send notification
of possession, the location of the LDCBCET and his/her LDC graduating class to
LDCAABestClassTrophy@gmail.com. The LDCAA must be aware of the location of the
trophy at all times. The member maintaining the trophy email shall not be eligible to take
possession of or share information about the location of the LDCBCET.
8. The member maintaining the trophy email shall provide a hint about the location of the
LDCBCET to be published on LeadershipDicksonCountyAlumni.com and the Leadership
Dickson County page on Facebook each time the trophy changes possession.
9. LDC Classes shall receive one point for each day the LDCBCET is in the possession of a
member of that class. Possession shall be determined by the location of the trophy at 5:00
pm each day. Failure to provide email notification upon taking possession of the
LDCBCET shall result in the class of the previous member to possess the LDCBCET
receiving credit for possession.
10. LDCBCET possession points will be compiled with points awarded to classes throughout
the LDC year (ending at LDC graduation and beginning the day after) for competitions
sponsored by the LDCAA (10 points for first place, 9 points for second place, etc. through
the top 10 classes). At the graduation ceremony for each current LDC class, the class
earning the most points through LDCAA-sponsored competitions and LDCBCET
possession will be announced and will begin the new LDC year with possession of the
LDCBCET.
11. Any conflict, circumstance or event not specifically covered in these LDCBCET guidelines
shall be settled or decided by the President of the LDCAA and all members shall abide by
his/her decision.
12. These guidelines shall be effective upon adoption by the Board of Directors of the
Leadership Dickson County Alumni Association and may be amended by majority vote of
the same.
